Wojciech Szczesny extends loan with Brentford

Young goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has extended his loan with League One side Brentford, and will now remain with Andy Scott’s side until the end of 31st May 2010.
 
Szczesny has impressed since joining The Bees in late November, and has conceded just six goals in his nine appearances so far which include three clean sheets.
 
The 19 year-old ‘keeper who joined Arsenal as a scholar in 2006, kept a clean sheet in his first team debut with the Gunners against West Bromwich Albion in the Carling Cup earlier this season. He has also been named on the bench for Premier League and UEFA Champions League fixtures this season, and has played three Reserve matches, keeping clean sheets in two of them.
 
The talented young goalkeeper recently made his senior international debut in the second half of Poland’s 1-0 win over Canada in November.
