니클라스 벤트너가 카메룬과의 경기에서 골을 기록하며 알렉스 송의 카메룬을 월드컵에서 탈락시켰다.

두명의 선수는 90분동안 경기에서 활약했다.

일본에 패배한 '불굴의 사자' 카메룬은 사무엘 에투의 골로 경기를 리드해갔다.

덴마크는 33분 아스날 스트라이커 벤트너가 데니스 롬메달의 크로스를 미끄러지듯 골을 기록하며 경기를 원점으로 돌려놨다.

그리고, 1시간쯤 뒤 벤트너가 깊은 곳에서 중앙으로 빠져들어가던 롬메달에게 패스를 해주었고 역전골이 터졌다.

카메룬은 동점골의 기회를 노렸지만 결국 2010 남아공월드컵에서 처음으로 탈락한 팀이 되고 말았다.

덴마크는 오는 금요일 일본을 패배시키면 16강에 진출한다.

Nicklas Bendtner was on the scoresheet as Denmark beat Cameroon on Saturday, eliminating Alex Song's nation from the World Cup.

Both Arsenal players played 90 minutes in the match.

After losing to Japan last Monday the Indomitable Lions had to avoid defeat in Tshwane and took an early lead through Samuel Eto'o.

Denmark equalised in the 33rd minute when Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner slid onto a Dennis Rommedahl cross.

Then, just after the hour mark, Bendtner turned provider with a pass from deep to find Rommedahl who cut inside to find the bottom corner.

Cameroon pushed forward in search of an equaliser but were unable to find the goal required to prevent them from becoming the first team to be knocked out of this year's World Cup.

Denmark will reach the last 16 if they beat Japan on Thursday.
