"But in England there are sides with great prestige and that could be decisive. Arsène Wenger knows Yaya, and I am convinced he could be a success with Arsenal." Older brother Kolo left Emirates Stadium only last summer and Yaya himself played for Arsenal as a triallist in a friendly against Barnet in 2003.

Arsène Wenger is linked with a move for Shaun Wright-Phillips in Monday morning's Sun. It says the England winger has struggled for a place this season under Roberto Mancini and may be available for a fee in the region of £5million.
