로빈 반 페르시가 네덜란드 국가대표로 50번째 출장을 하면서 우루과이를 3-2로 꺾고 네덜란드를 월드컵 경승에 올려놓았다.

지오반니 반 브롱크호스트는 네덜란드의 환상적인 첫 골을 만들어냈다. 왼쪽 외곽 35야드 거리에서 패널티박스 상단 코너로 멋지게 슈팅을 꽂아넣었다.

그러나 디에고 포를란이 5분만에 균형을 맞추었다. 그는 네덜란드의 하프라인 근처에서 볼을 뺏은 후 멋진 슈팅으로 동점골을 넣었다.

후반전은 매우 팽팽했는데, 3분 사이 터진 네덜란드의 두 골이 네덜란드를 결승무대에 진출시켰다.

Robin van Persie collected his 50th Dutch cap as Netherlands booked a place in the World Cup Final with a 3-2 victory over Uruguay.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst put the Dutch ahead in superb fashion. From 35 yards out on the left side he managed to riffle the ball into the top corner across goal.

But Diego Forlan equalised five minutes before the break. He collected the ball in the middle of the Netherlands' half and unleashed a swerving shot which found the back of the net.

The second half was a tight, closely-fought affair but two goals in three minutes booked the Dutch a place in the final.

Wesley Sneijder was first to find the net via a deflection off Maxi Pereira. The ball then avoided a marginally offside Van Persie as it headed into the bottom corner.

Then, in the 73rd minute, Arjen Robben headed in a third. Pereira's left-footed goal in stoppage-time wasn't enough for Uruguay.

Netherlands will take on either Spain or Germany in Sunday's Final.
